This invitation-only event will offer a selection of 10 crossmedia projects from different countries that already have 10% of their finance secured. For you as a producer or broadcaster, this is the platform to find a co-producer or distributor for your new production. For you as a financer or co-producer, this is the platform to find a new project. The Junior Crossmedia Market is an initiative of Cinekid and is co-produced with Dutch producer Ijsfontein Interactive Media.

Regulations

  1. The 24th International Children's Film and Television and New Media Festival Cinekid will take place from 20 to 29 October 2010 in Amsterdam.
  2. Cinekid is an independent festival organized by the Cinekid Foundation and is member of the International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ) Montreal and the European Children's Film Association (ECFA).
  3. The festival aims to provide a survey of the best new international children's films and television productions and wants to stimulate the discussion on quality in children's and youth media.
  4. The festival programme comprises the following sections:
    1. International feature films for children and young people, 4-14 years (competition)
    2. International children's and youth documentaries
    3. Recent Dutch children's and youth films (features and shorts)
    4. TV productions (national and international)
    5. New media productions
    6. International Panorama
  5. The Junior Crossmedia Market consists of up to 10 selected crossmedia productions for children
  6. (Inter)national productions for Children and Youth must have 10 % of the financing in place and a participating production company in the country of origin.
  7. The crossmedia production must contain at least one of the following platforms: film and/or television
  8. A finished script must be available upon request.
  9. Productions can be entered by digitally sending in a complete Junior Crossmedia Market entry form and a one-page synopsis in English.
  10. Selected productions will be included in the Junior Crossmedia Market catalogue.
  11. The entry forms and synopsis are to be sent in before 15 September 2010.
  12. Cinekid will produce a meeting schedule between participants and interested buyers/producers.
  13. The submission of an entry implies acceptance of these regulations.
