Regulations Junior Film Market
- The 24th International Children's Film and Television and New Media Festival Cinekid will take place from 20 to 29 October 2010 in Amsterdam.
- Cinekid is an independent festival organized by the Cinekid Foundation and is member of the International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ) Montreal and the European Children's Film Association (ECFA).
- The festival aims to provide a survey of the best new international children's films and television productions and wants to stimulate the discussion on quality in children's and youth media.
- The festival programme comprises the following sections:
- International feature films for children and young people, 4-16 years (competition)
- International children's and youth documentaries
- Recent Dutch children's and youth films (features and shorts)
- TV productions (national and international)
- New media productions
- International Panorama
- The Junior Film Market consists of up to 15 selected film productions for children
- 7. (Inter)national productions for Children and Youth must have 10 % of the financing in place and a participating production company in the country of origin.
- A finished script must be available upon request.
- Productions can be entered by digitally sending in a complete Production Market Entry Form and a one-page synopsis in English.
- Selected productions will be included in the Junior Film Market catalogue.
- The entry forms and synopsis are to be sent in before 15 September 2010.
- Cinekid will produce a meeting schedule between participants and interested buyers/producers.
- The submission of an entry implies acceptance of these regulations.
